We are excited to let you know we are now SELLING LOTS, so far we have closed three lots.

We have started working on our standard lots. The pool house is done and turned out fantastic. We have received many great complements from our guests. The other big hit has been our off-leash dog park. Our guests have made numerous comments on how nice it is to have such an unprecedented large dog park dedicated to their pets.

Our rental program is doing very well, and we are already sold out for Jeep Safari and the Car Show next year.

We hope you like our new web page and the look and design of the final casita models featured there. If you are planning to attend the Indio FMCA show or the Perry Georgia show look us up, we would love to see you there.

Good news for you ATV riders, Moab made ATVs legal to ride on the streets, all you need is a light kit and a permit. If you have any questions contact the department of transportation. Have fun riding.

I am Doug Sorensen, one of the managing partners at The Portal RV Resort; we are very excited to inform you that we have been approved, subject to annexation by Moab City, for our “Master Planned Development”. We know that the wait has been a long one, but we assure you that it was worth waiting for.

We are anticipating the finalization of the annexation process to occur in the middle of August 2008. At the time, we can sign actual contracts and begin to close on the properties. We will keep you posted should this time frame change. Should you be financing your lot, we encourage you to start this process now so that you are ready to close September 1, 2008. The Portal RV Resort’s rental program is doing great this year; we have increased our business over twenty percent from last year. We are already close to sold out for spring of next year. The people that have stayed at the resort are all giving wonderful comments on the work that has been done to date and can’t wait to come back and see us again.

It has almost been two years since the Partners sat down and decided where to build their next dream RV Resort. We could not be happier that we selected Moab Utah. Due to new FEMA 100 year Flood Plain map we are negotiating with the city what type of structures can be allowed along side the RV pads.

We are very close to receiving the building permits for the swimming pool and bath house which are included in the current construction phase. These two facilities should be ready for use in the spring. Curb and gutter and additional landscaping are ongoing and will continue through the fall and winter months as weather permits.

That’s right. We have poured and landscaped two or our new sites. They are set up for now as RV only sites but we wanted to give our guests an idea of just what the sites might look like. It’s sparked a lot of interest and folks are very complementary of what we’re doing. We have done this work since most of you have committed and we wanted you to see what we have been doing
